On 1 January 2010, the VAT system of the European Union will be amended as regards the rules on the place of supply of services and recovery of VAT incurred in other EU Member States. Those amendments will affect many businesses. In this article, the author summarizes the amendments, looks at the time lines and explains how businesses should get ready now.
