On 1 January 2018, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates introduced VAT. In this article, the authors discuss the VAT regime which has been implemented for the real estate sector in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for businesses and individuals, focusing on similarities and differences between the implemented legislation.
