An update on the ATO’s announcement to indefinitely delay the finalization of the draft Taxation Determinations (TDs) on the taxation of private equity companies on investments in Australia. This is of concern to the public as the draft TDs are fundamentally flawed and it is uncertain as to whether they will be finalized in their current state, or if the ATO is undertaking further reviews in this regard.
