This article considers Singapore's Budget for 2005, which is designed to foster economic restructuring and enhance Singapore's competitiveness as a place for talent and enterprise. This Budget, like last year's Budget, is a fine-tuning Budget with no significant changes or major tax incentives. Most of the new measures are designed merely to further boost the growth of particular industries or to prevent them from declining by maintaining their competitive edge.
