This overview highlights the Commission’s (i) consultation on potential countermeasures against US tariffs and launch of WTO dispute against the United States; (ii) examination of wealth taxation for high-net-worth individuals; (iii) referral of Sweden to the European Court of Justice for failing to bring rules on preliminary income taxation in line with EU law requirements; (iv) closure of infringement procedure against the Netherlands regarding rules on transfer of pension capital by mobile workers; and (v) approval of re-introduction of Italian scheme supporting maritime transport under State aid rules.
