World Tax Journal included in Clarivate’s Web of Science™

1-minute read

We are pleased to announce that the World Tax Journal (WTJ) has been accepted for inclusion in the Web of Science™, the world’s most trusted and authoritative citation database. This milestone reflects the journal’s growing academic stature and the consistent efforts of its editorial and publishing teams since its inception in 2009.

Web of Science

The World Tax Journal is now indexed in the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). As a result, all WTJ articles published from 2023 onward—beginning with Volume 15, Issue 1—are now included in this prestigious index. This inclusion also sets the stage for the journal to receive a Journal Impact Factor, further enhancing its visibility and scholarly impact within the international tax research community.

This achievement is particularly meaningful for academic authors, many of whom rely on publication in indexed journals for career advancement and academic recognition. The addition of Web of Science indexing complements the journal’s existing presence in other major databases, including Scopus and the Scimago Journal & Country Rank, where WTJ has demonstrated consistent growth in citation metrics since 2019.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all who have contributed to this success and continue to support the World Tax Journal in its mission to be the leading international journal in the field of taxation.
