We’ve summarized the most significant changes for you below:

  • We have created a new section 1. Interpretation to set out the definitions of terms and the applicability of these Terms of Use.
  • We have created a new section 2. Access and Use, which covers three main topics:
    • ways to access our online platforms;
    • permitted use of our online products, services, platforms and content; and
    • prohibited activities. This includes certain restrictions, such as on the excessive downloading or systematic retrieval of the licensed materials, use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, Big Data activities, and Text and Data Mining (TDM), and deriving commercial gain from the downloaded content after termination of the license agreement.
  • We have changed the limitation of our liability cap to the price of the ordered product or the license fees paid by the client in the preceding 12 months, aligning the liability limitation with that in our General Terms and Conditions.
  • We have made changes throughout the entire Terms of Use to improve clarity and to address grammar, typos and other similar issues. We have also updated the hyperlinks.

We encourage you to read through the entire updated Terms of Use here to see all the changes. The updates to the Terms of Use will take effect on 1 May 2024 and until then, the current Terms of Use remain in effect. By continuing to use our online platforms, products or services on or after 1 May 2024, you agree to the updated Terms of Use.
