We’re making some changes to our General Terms and Conditions, which apply to all purchases of IBFD products and services. These changes will come into effect on 1 May 2024.

New Tax Risk Management Monitor

We’ve summarized the most significant changes for you below:

  • Section 1. Interpretation:
    • In article 1.1. Definitions, we have updated the definition of the term “License” to cover both our paid and free (trial) services.
    • In article 1.1. Definitions, we have added a definition for the term “Websites” to clarify the websites on which we provide our services and products.
    • In article 1.1. Definitions, we have added a definition of the term “Yearbook” to include a new subscription to the e-book format.
  • Section 2. Products and Services:
    • Articles 2.1.4. and 2.1.5. have been updated and a new article 2.1.6. has been inserted to reflect that the requirement for the purchase of at least one successive future edition when taking out a yearbook subscription now also applies to the e-book format. We have also clarified that such automatic subscription renewal does not apply to consumers (see the definition of Consumer in section 1.1. Definitions).
  • Section 4. Prices and Payment:
    • In article 4.1.4., we have changed the handling fee for clients who require certified legal documents attached to their invoice and/or clients who require invoices to be submitted via an invoicing portal. The amount of the handling fee can be found on IBFD’s Customer Support webpage.
  • Section 7. Intellectual Property Rights:
    • In article 7.1., we have added that IBFD is also the sole and exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights to its websites, and that no part of IBFD’s websites may be copied in any way or by any means.
  • We have made changes throughout the entire General Terms and Conditions to improve clarity and to address grammar, typos and other similar issues. We have also updated the hyperlinks.

To see all the changes, you can review the entire updated General Terms and Conditions here. The updates to the General Terms and Conditions will take effect on 1 May 2024 and until then, the current General Terms and Conditions remain in effect. By continuing to use our products or services on or after 1 May 2024, you agree to the updated General Terms and Conditions.
