IFA LatAm and IBFD Hold Seventh Annual Series of International Tax Webinars
Every Friday in September, IBFD and IFA LatAm jointly hosted a series of webinars conducted entirely in Spanish, bringing together corporate officers, lawyers, representatives of tax authorities and finance ministries, judges, and academics to discuss key developments in international taxation. This year, the series explored various topics under the theme of 'News on International Taxation and Its Impact in Latin America'.
Now in its seventh edition, the series was launched in 2020 to help fill the gap left by the suspension of in-person IFA LatAm annual congresses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, it has become a regular forum for updates on emerging issues in international taxation, with a particular focus on developments affecting Latin America. The webinars continue to attract strong interest, with registrations averaging 500 participants or more per session.

The 2026 edition featured four sessions addressing some of the most relevant and timely issues in international tax practice.
4 September - The New Era in Transfer Pricing Reporting: The Use of AI and the Role of the Expert
The opening webinar explored the evolving role of artificial intelligence in transfer pricing reporting and the continuing importance of expert input. Tania Quispe Mansilla (Peru) moderated the session, with contributions from Rafael Ricardo Parra Correa (Colombia), Andrés Gómez García (Mexico), and Sharvari Kale (IBFD KC).
11 September - The UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation and Its Interaction with Double Taxation Conventions (DTCs)
The second webinar examined the relationship between the UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation and existing double taxation conventions. 18 September - Tax Jurisprudence: The Impact of Recent Decisions on International Taxation in Latin America
The third session focused on recent international tax decisions and their implications for the region. Humberto Romero-Muci (Venezuela) moderated the webinar, with Mariano Ballone (Argentina), Estephanie Munar Diaz (Colombia), and Diana Calderón Manrique (IBFD KC) contributing their perspectives.
25 September - International Tax Dispute Resolution: Between the Mutual Agreement Procedure Under Tax Treaties and Other Mechanisms

Through this annual initiative, IBFD and IFA LatAm continue to provide an important platform for knowledge-sharing and professional exchange on international tax developments, fostering dialogue among practitioners, policymakers, academics, and other stakeholders across Latin America.
