The 2025 IBFD Yearbook on Taxpayers’ Rights: Introductory Session (Video)
To mark the start of this year’s reporting cycle within the IBFD Observatory for the Protection of Taxpayers’ Rights (OPTR), the OPTR team organized a webinar for all reporters. This annual meeting, now a tradition, offers a valuable opportunity for direct interaction between our authors, the Directors, and the Scientific Coordinator.
During the session, we expressed our appreciation to reporters for their ongoing commitment, which has helped establish the project as a leading source for tracking global developments in taxpayer rights protection. The project’s bottom-up approach reveals worldwide and regional trends that might otherwise go unnoticed, while our diverse group of reporters from practice, academia, and public administration ensures balanced reporting.
Below is a recording of the webinar for all reporters—both those who attended and those who could not join live. The video also provides background to the reporting in the sections that were changed last year , as well as some of the challenges. It invites reporters to provide credible and reliable sources and to reach out when in doubt.
