Scholar Meeting of International Tax Researchers (ScholarMIT)
Introduction
The Scholar Meeting of International Tax Researchers (ScholarMIT) is an annual gathering in our Amsterdam Headquarters where early-career tax scholars can discuss their ongoing projects amongst contemporaries in the field.
The Scholar Meeting of International Tax Researchers (ScholarMIT) is designed for early-career tax scholars who have obtained their PhD and are under the age of 50.
This event, held at the IBFD Head Office in Amsterdam on 1-2 February 2027, provides a dynamic platform for researchers to discuss their ongoing projects, receive expert coaching, and exchange innovative ideas with colleagues from around the world.
What is the eligibility criteria?
A maximum of 12 researchers will be admitted, selected based on the quality and originality of their research. We are looking for applicants who:
• Applicants must spend at least 30% of their work time on research-related activities.
• Be developing an innovative research project on international, European, or comparative taxation.
• University professors and lecturers are particularly encouraged to apply.
