Meet the Author
Dieudonné Nzafashwanayo
Dieudonné Nzafashwanayo is a Partner at ENS, where he works in the tax and corporate practice groups. He advises clients on a wide range of international and domestic tax law matters, including transfer pricing, M&A and corporate restructuring tax considerations, tax treatment of ESOPs, indirect tax, and cross-border project/transaction tax structuring, including PE and WHT issues, application of DTAAs, and tax controversy.
Mr. Nzafashwanayo holds an LLB and an LLM in Business Law from the University of Rwanda, graduating at the top of his class for both. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in the United Kingdom, of which he is an international tax affiliate. He is admitted as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Rwanda and other subordinate courts.
Mr. Nzafashwanayo serves as the IBFD Tax News correspondent for Rwanda and authors IBFD’s Country Surveys on Rwanda. He is recognized as a notable practitioner for general corporate tax by ITR World Tax.
