12 Dec 2016IBFD First Roundtable on Tax Assurance

IBFD launches its new Roundtable initiative. These roundtables provide an opportunity for in-house tax managers and tax directors to exchange and learn from each other’s experiences. Through best practices, participants benefit from insights, inspiration and practical tools that can be used to enhance tax practices in their own organization. The first Roundtable is built around the theme of Tax Assurance and will take place on 12 December 2016.

IBFD First Roundtable on Tax Assurance

Why participate in the Roundtable(s)

The objective of the Roundtable(s) is primarily to create a forum where you can discuss the questions and concerns that you are facing with your peers. Questions will be raised that usually remain unanswered at most tax seminars and webcasts. We invite you to participate and share your views, experiences, questions and concerns at the table. Each event includes ample time for high-level networking over a reception and drinks giving you the opportunity to continue the discussions in an informal setting. The Roundtables will be held in English.

We look forward to your attendance at the Roundtable and encourage you to forward this invitation to other colleagues you believe may be interested in attending.

The first Roundtable is built around the theme of Tax Assurance.
In the last couple of years a lot of changes have taken place in the tax world. Stakeholders of MNEs, such as tax authorities, the OECD, NGOs, the media and consumers, have shown a keen interest in taxes.
We will look at Tax Assurance in a wider context: not just how taxes end up in the commercial accounts (tax accounting) but also (tax) risk management, corporate governance, tax policy, relations with the media, the ethical sides of taxation and audit.
