Yoshihiro Masui is a Professor of Law at the University of Tokyo, where he teaches taxation. He is currently a chairman of the Japanese Branch of the International Fiscal Association and a member of the Tax Committee of the Japanese government. Mr Masui obtained an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 1987 and an ITP/LL.M. from Harvard University in 1992.
His monograph "Taxation of Corporate Groups" (University of Tokyo Press, 2002, in Japanese) won the Institute of Tax Research and Literature Award in 2002.
