Shiqi Ma is a Principal Research Associate at IBFD and Head of IBFD’s China office. As a researcher, he is responsible for China. He joined IBFD in 1998, is author of the China chapter of IBFD publications and is engaged in various research projects. He has participated in the Chinese corporate income tax reform project of the State Administration of Taxation prior to the tax reform in 2008. He also (co-)organizes the annual IBFD International Tax Conference in China to discuss the most recent tax developments in and outside China.
Before joining IBFD, Mr Ma worked for:
- - Beijing University as lecturer for the German language
- The Dutch employer’s association for hotels and restaurants as a consultant
- - The Dutch tax law firm, Loyens and Volkmaars (now Loyens and Loeff)
He graduated from Beijing University and obtained a Master’s in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam. Mr Ma regularly lectures at Chinese universities and tax courses organized by IBFD in China.
