Shiqi Ma is a Principal Research Associate at IBFD and Head of the IBFD China office. As a researcher, he is responsible for China and Taiwan. He joined IBFD in 1998 and has been the author of the China chapters of IBFD publications ever since.
Before joining IBFD, Mr Ma worked for Loyens & Volkmaar, a major Dutch tax law firm now named Loyens & Loeff. He graduated from Beijing University and obtained a master’s degree in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam.
Mr Ma has lectured at Chinese universities and provided concise courses to Chinese tax delegations on a yearly basis. He has also participated in the Chinese corporate income tax reform project of the State Administration of Taxation and occasionally speaks at seminars and conferences.
