Shee Boon Law is Head of Knowledge at DLA Piper’s International Tax Group, where he is responsible for promoting and representing the technical expertise of the International Tax Group to clients and the market in general. He has over 20 years of tax advisory experience accumulated from working with the New Zealand tax authorities, the OECD in France and IBFD in the Netherlands.
Before joining DLA Piper, Mr Law managed the training and research services at IBFD . In this capacity he provided advice on international tax policy and administration issues such as transfer pricing, tax treaties and financial instruments to multinationals and governments of e.g. India, China, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Prior to that, he worked at the OECD, where he was responsible for the dialogue with non-OECD economies on international tax instruments such as the OECD Model Tax Convention and the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines. In this role, he worked with over 50 countries in Africa, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, CIS and the Baltic countries to assist in the analysis, implementation and application of OECD guidelines.
Mr Law has a doctorate degree in Accounting. He has published numerous articles in academic and professional journals and speaks regularly at international conferences and IBFD courses.
