Shaomei Chen is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Tax Law and Economics of Leiden University, the Netherlands. Her topic of research is double source taxation in triangular cases.
Ms Chen studied law in Beijing and obtained her bachelor degree from Renmin University of China in 2015. She completed her Adv. LL.M. in International Tax Law with summa cum laude at the International Tax Center Leiden in 2016. After that, she stayed on to serve as a teaching assistant and a guest lecturer for the programme of the Summer Course China. Her research focuses on questions of international taxation, in particular, tax treaties.
