Ronald Strikker is the current Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Ghana, the Togolese Republic, the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Sierra Leone. Prior to assuming this position, Mr Strikker held assignments as Deputy Head of the Task Force for the Netherlands’ Presidency of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Political Department, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in London, and Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Riyadh and in Rabat.
In 1980, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During his time there, he was posted in Nairobi, Tunis, Paris (Ecole Nationale d’Administration, ENA), Santiago de Chile and Bangkok. Furthermore, he has held positions in the Directorate General for International Co-operation, the Directorate for European Integration and the Directorate for Consular Affairs and Migration Policy in The Hague.
