Nellie Jimu is a seasoned tax collector with 24 years’ experience in tax collection. She is currently the Commissioner for Domestic Taxes for the Malawi Revenue Authority. In this capacity, she is responsible for the administration of tax policy. In Malawi, domestic taxes accounts for 70% of tax revenues.
She is also part of the team that advises the Ministry of Finance in the formulation of tax policies. She has served in several positions within the Malawi Revenue Authority.
Nellie holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Malawi and a Master of Business Administration in Fiscal Management from the University of Bath (United Kingdom), obtained in the year 2000.
