Michael Lebovitz is a partner in the tax transactions and consulting practice of the international law firm Mayer Brown. Based in Los Angeles, he is part of Mayer Brown’s global tax practice serving clients around the world. His practice focuses on international business and tax planning, and he advises on the tax aspects of international joint ventures, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, post-transaction integration, international corporate finance, capital market transactions and general international tax planning matters. Mr Lebovitz holds a JD degree from Loyola Law School Los Angeles and a BS in Accounting from California State University. A frequent speaker on international tax matters, Mr Lebovitz has lectured throughout the United States and in Europe and Asia for various organizations. He has written frequently on international tax topics, and his articles have appeared in numerous publications, including the Journal of International Taxation and Tax Planning International Review. Mr Lebovitz participates extensively in international pro bono matters. He has been admitted to the State Bar of California and the Bar of England and Wales, and he is also a certified public accountant.
