Harry Tonino is a qualified lawyer specializing in international taxation, with several years of international professional experience gained working with top-tier law firms, leading global providers of tax services including IBFD, and the United Nations. He advised and/or worked with advisory firms, multinationals, tax administrations and governments in different countries of Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. Mr Tonino has authored informative and training materials on international tax matters, regularly speaks at conferences and seminars around the world and teaches on postgraduate courses across a wide range of topics in international taxation.
His fields of expertise include tax treaties (including OECD, UN and other regional and national models), EU tax law, taxation of multinational enterprises (including group taxation, transfer pricing and allocation of profits to permanent establishments and business restructuring), international tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, exchange of information, dispute resolution and tax policy.
Mr Tonino holds a university degree in Law and a master’s degree in Taxation from LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome, an LLM from Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, and a certificate in Business Administration from Instituto de Empresa, Madrid.
