Gregorio Piran is an International Tax and Transfer Pricing practitioner at EY in Italy, which he joined in September 2018. After graduating summa cum laude in Law & Economics at the University of Padua in Italy, he started working for a relevant boutique firm, where he joined the international tax department and was mainly involved in transfer pricing controversies.
In 2018, Gregorio took part in the advanced LLM programme “International Tax Law: Principles, Policy and Practice", a joint project of the IBFD and UvA, held in Amsterdam. In July 2018, he graduated with the thesis on the interaction between transfer pricing and customs regulations in respect of price adjustments.
Having completed the LLM programme, Gregorio joined the UvA team and represented the University at the VII Iberoamerican International Tax Moot Court, held in Cancun in November 2018, where the team was awarded the overall prize for best team and Gregorio the prize for best speaker of the competition.
