Eric Nii Yarboi Mensah is Assistant Commissioner in charge of Legal Affairs and International Taxation Agreements at the Ghana Revenue Authority. He is currently the lead treaty negotiator for the Ghana double taxation treaty team, and he is also responsible for drafting tax legislation for the Revenue Authority. Mr Mensah is a member of the United Nations Committee of Experts for International Cooperation in Tax Matters and Coordinator of the Subcommittee on Extractive Industries Taxation for Developing Countries.
Mr Mensah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, a Certificate in Business Tax and a Certificate in Modernising Tax Administration from the University of Pretoria and a Postgraduate Certificate in Legislative Drafting from the Ghana School of Law and the Commonwealth Secretariat. He was called to the Ghana Bar as a lawyer in 1998 and specializes in international treaties.
