Elandre Brandt is a partner in the Tax Practice at Webber Wentzel Attorneys, Johannesburg, South Africa. He has been a tax practitioner for more than 13 years and has served clients in a range of industries on matters involving the structuring and optimization of in-bound and out-bound (many of which into other African countries) investments, mergers and acquisitions, group reorganizations, domestic corporate tax advisory and exchange control matters. Mr Brandt completed his legal articles at Adams & Adams Attorneys in Pretoria.
Having developed a keen interest in tax law, Mr Brandt joined Deloitte's corporate tax department in mid-2002. He remained at Deloitte until the end of 2007, qualifying as a chartered accountant (CA(SA)) during that time. Mr Brandt joined PwC in 2008 and was admitted to the partnership in mid-2011. He was head of the firm's international tax department and Africa Desk in Johannesburg.
Mr Brandt has a B.Com (Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch, a B.Com (Acc) Hons/ CTA degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an LLM (Tax Law) degree from the University of Pretoria.
