Prof. Dr. Du Li is full professor and acts as the Executive Director of the Research Center for Public Economy, Fudan University. She was a postdoctoral research fellow at IBFD, where she focused on Special Tax Zones. She holds a PhD in Economics, is currently a She has served as a short-term consultant to the World Bank and was previously a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics and Statistics at the University of Konstanz, Germany.
Her recent academic research focuses on China’s special taxation zones, the redistributive effects of taxation, the financial sector taxation and tax revenue analysis and forecasting. She has published dozens of papers and books on taxation including China Tax Guide (in Chinese and English) and has been teaching at bachelor and master level courses on public finance, China’s taxation system (in English) and international taxation (in English) since the late 1990s.
She is the academic chief of the Master of Taxation program at Fudan University and a member of China Tax Education Research Association.
