European Tax Cases, Volume I: Indirect Taxation

This volume offers the full text of the judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union and Opinions delivered by the Advocates General in the field of value added tax (VAT), excises, indirect taxes on the raising of capital (capital duty) and customs valuation.
All judgments are presented year by year, followed by a numerical list with keywords of the subjects dealt with and, if applicable, the name of the Advocate General who delivered the Opinion.

In addition to this, with regard to VAT, the judgments are also presented thematically and article by article as transposed into the present VAT Directive (although many cases were decided under predecessors of the present Directive). The judgments regarding excises are also presented thematically. The case law regarding capital duty is also presented article by article of Directive 69/335/EC and the present Directive 2008/7/EC. The judgments regarding customs valuation are also presented thematically.
