The Uganda Income Tax Act 1997 – A Primer on Concepts and Structure
Since 2004 IBFD’s Government Consultancy Department has been providing technical assistance to the Ugandan Ministry of Finance’s Tax Policy Department (TPD). The aim of the project was to build on the technical abilities of the TPD staff. This included training by IBFD’s International Tax Academy and implementation of improvements regarding VAT, income tax, customs, revenue forecasting, sustainable taxes and performance management.
