Tigran Mkrtchyan is a Senior Research Associate in the IBFD European Knowledge Group, with
responsibility for EC tax law. Before joining IBFD, he was with Baker & McKenzie and prior to that
with Deloitte in the Czech Republic. Mr Mkrtchyan concentrated on cross-border corporate taxation and planning, including tax-efficient structuring of inbound and outbound investments, European tax
law and transfer pricing. As an adjunct instructor of European Integration, he also taught for three
years in a graduate programme offered by a consortium of several EU universities. He holds a
PhD in International Economic Relations and has published widely in major professional journals
including European Taxation, Intertax and Tax Notes International.
