Shee Boon Law
Shee Boon Law is a Principal Research Associate in the IBFD’s International Tax Academy. Prior to joining the IBFD, he was a tax advisor with the Inland Revenue Department of New Zealand. He was responsible for incorporating international financial reporting standards into New Zealand’s tax legislation and was involved in the most recent review of New Zealand’s international tax rules. Mr Law also worked for the OECD and was responsible for many aspects of the OECD’s relationships with non-OECD economies, particularly in developing policy dialogue with non-OECD economies on the taxation of multinationals, financial instruments and financial institutions. He has represented the OECD at many seminars and conferences in China, India, Malaysia, South Africa and other OECD tax training facilities around the world. Mr Law was a university lecturer in New Zealand. He has a doctorate degree in Accounting and has published in internationally refereed journals on a range of tax and accounting topics.
