The courses offered by the International Tax Academy include introductory and intermediate courses as well as advanced workshops designed to meet the needs of a wide range of participants. In deciding which course is right for you, or your organization, it is important to consider your own needs/objectives, as well as your current level of knowledge and experience.
Objectives of the Course
- Introductory courses aim at providing participants with a basic knowledge of a wide range of topics and an understanding of how this knowledge can be applied in practice.
- Intermediate courses are designed to provideparticipants with a thorough understanding of the more complex issues relating to a specific topic.
- Advanced courses tackle selected complex issues by means of practical workshops which incorporate case studies and group discussions to examine the application of principles in complex real-world scenarios.
Prerequisites
- Introductory course: limited experience in dealing with issues relating to international taxation.
- Intermediate course: good knowledge of the domestic law of at least one country in the area covered by the course, previous experience in dealing with cross-border taxation and a good understanding of the basic principles.
- Advanced workshop: a thorough knowledge of the domestic tax system of at least one country, in particular the international aspects, and a broad knowledge of the issues and current developments in international tax law.
