Courses

ITA offers over 60 courses every year. For a complete overview visit our course calendar.

Online Platform

To enhance your learning experience and ensure maximum value from the course you attend, the International Tax Academy has launched an online platform which provides participants with access to additional learning resources. These include:

  • Pre-reading material to help you prepare for the course
  • Supplementary material ( e.g. legal documentation, case law and related articles/literature), allowing you to expand your knowledge after the course.
Levels
Course levels range from introductory to advanced:
  • Introductory courses are ideal for professionals with experience of domestic taxation who wish to move into international taxation.
  • Intermediate courses are designed for professionals who have some experience of international taxation and who now wish to expand their knowledge and gain a better understanding of the concepts they need in their work.
  • In the advanced courses, topics are explored in depth. Participants are expected to have a good grasp of the principles of international tax law and to be able to contribute to the group discussions.
Languages
All ITA Courses are taught in English.
Instructors
ITA has access to a unique selection of instructors. Members of IBFD Research staff bring the breadth of their international tax law knowledge to our courses and experienced practitioners add the depth of their practical experience. This combination is highly valued by course participants.
Venue
The majority of our open courses in Amsterdam are held at IBFD's head office, which boasts the latest in teaching facilities. This venue also provides participants the opportunity to visit IBFD Library and Information Centre, which contains the worlds largest collection of books and journals on international taxation.
Dress
There is no dress code. Most delegates wear smart casual.
Course Material
Participants on all ITA courses are provided with a documentation binder containing a selection of articles on the course topics.
IBFD Library
Participants also have access to the extensive IBFD Library for their own research. To ensure a place is available for you, please e-mail the IBFD Library.
