ITA open courses are held at a number of worldwide locations, including Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Tanzania and Beijing. Directions to the course venue will be sent to you on registration.

Travel arrangements, meals and accommodation
- Where are ITA’s open courses held?

- Is accommodation/transport provided?

No, participants are responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements. ITA has corporate rates with hotels in Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur; details of these hotels and directions to the course venue will be sent to you on registration.
- Are meals provided?

Lunch and refreshments are provided on all open courses and are included in the fee. No other meals are provided.
- What if I have special dietary requirements?

If you have any special dietary requirements, it is important that you notify us when booking your course. We will then inform our caterers who will try to accommodate your requirements. Please note that they can only do this with prior notice.
- What if I have special needs regarding access to the venue?

If you have any special needs regarding access to the venue, etc., please contact us prior to the course.
Attending a course
- Is there a dress code?

There is no official dress code for open courses. Most participants wear smart casual.
- What is the language of instruction?

All ITA open courses are taught in English and all course documentation is provided in English.
- Will I receive a certificate?
-
Certificates of attendance are provided to course participants. In order to qualify for a certificate, participants must sign an attendance register at the beginning of each course day.
- How can I obtain CPE/CPD credits for courses I attend?

Course participants will receive a certificate of attendance that includes the recommended CPE points and the topics covered during the course. Participants should submit this certificate and any other required information to their relevant professional bodies to obtain CPE/CPD credits. - What does the course fee include?

The course fee covers participation, all course materials, lunch and refreshments. The costs of accommodation and transportation are not covered.
- Does my company qualify for a discount?
-
If your company has a full IBFD membership, you are entitled to a 20% discount on the course fee. Please note that subscriptions to one or a selection of IBFD publications do not constitute full membership. In order to receive the discount, you must quote the membership number on your registration form.
- How do I make payment for a course?

Participants will receive an invoice for the course fee 2 to 3 weeks after registration. IBFD accepts payment either by bank transfer or credit card.
For bank transfers, please quote the participant's name, the course code and, if available, the invoice number.
Courses held in the Netherlands
Clients will be invoiced in EUR. However, when they are located in Asia, the Americas, the Caribbean and Australasia they will be invoiced in USD.
Courses held in Malaysia
Clients located in Malaysia will be invoiced in MYR and all other clients in USD.
Courses held in Singapore
Clients will be invoiced in USD. Kindly note that the fee imposed is net of any local or withholding taxes.
Courses held in China
Clients located in China will be invoiced in CNY and all other clients in USD.Kindly note that the course fee is subject to local taxes (i.e. business tax, city maintenance fee and education fees) of 5.5%.
Other locations
Clients will be invoiced in EUR. However, when they are located in Asia, the Americas, the Caribbean and Australasia they will be invoiced in USD.
- By when must payment be made?

Payment must be made within 30 days after the invoice date, and before the commencement of the course. In case of late registrations, ITA may accept later payment by prior arrangement.
Course fees and payment
Early bird discount
- Do I qualify for a discount if I register early?
-
A 30% discount will be applied to registrations received 60 days or more before the commencement of ITA 2011 courses in Amsterdam and Barbados.
For courses in Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Singapore, a 20% discount will be applied to registrations received 30 days or more before the commencement of the course.
(NB: Early Bird discounts cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts).
Cancellation policy
- Can I cancel my attendance after registering for a course?

You may be prevented from attending a course due to unforeseen circumstances. If you notify us in writing of your cancellation at least 14 days prior to the event, an administration fee of EUR150 (or USD 150 / MYR 500 for invoices issued by IBFD Asia Sdn. Bhd. or IBFD (Beijing) International Taxation Consulting Co. Ltd.) will be charged. If notification is received within 7 to 14 days before the event, a cancellation fee of 50% of the course fee will be charged.
- If I am unable to attend a course, can a colleague attend in my place?

An alternative participant may be substituted at any time without charge, provided that ITA is informed in advance.
- What if the course is cancelled?

ITA, IBFD Asia Sdn. Bhd. and IBFD (Beijing) International Taxation Consulting Co. Ltd. reserve the right to cancel an event if there is an insufficient number of registrations, in which case our liability shall be restricted to a refund of any course fees paid. Cancellation notices will be sent at least 14 days in advance. ITA, IBFD Asia Sdn. Bhd. and IBFD (Beijing) International Taxation Consulting Co. Ltd. also reserve the right to alter published programs and speakers without prior notice.
